High Peak Steels
Mission
To explore and identify growth opportunities for the Derbyshire steel firm. To write a 5 year growth strategy. Develop a clear mission for the business. Work with the family on the businesses direction for the future.
Challenge
Running a profitable business for 35 years is for many success itself. But on meeting High Peak Steels it was clear the owners had reached an impasse. A family business, with not enough experience to hand the reins on to the next generation and the founders were too young to retire. The business had decisions to make about their future plans.
Significant outcomes
We repositioned the owner’s perception of the company from being a small player in a large market, to a niche business in a specialist market. This impacted how the company could confidently communicate their strengths – including incredibly high customer service.
DNA altered their marketing messages, rebranding to present a professional bigger business and established a monthly digital marketing programme to match.
On the digital side, DNA designed and build a new CMS website, latterly developed into a full ecommerce website delivering over 2.5k steel products. The web development combined with an SEO programme to lift their existing online presence and drive significant traffic to the site.
